Foreign Language Translations
Dave's Homemade Radios web site is looking for foreign (to this site) language
translations of the pages that I have written. I appreciate seeing pages written
in English as I surf the web, so I think that non-english speakers would enjoy pages in
their language. So I came up with a good way to help others understand my pages, by asking
for translations. Here are my thoughts:
I would like native speakers to do the translations. The person translating should know
electronics and be able to understand the original work. No HTML knowledge is needed.
The text sent in an e-mail should work.
There might be a problem with languages that don't use the same letters (plus accents)
as English. That is, languages such as Russian, Japanese or Chinese could present a
problem, but I am willing to test this. But languages such as French, Spanish, Dutch and
Swedish will work fine.
Interested? Here's how to start. Please contact me
first. Let me know what language you want to translate to and if you have an idea
of which page you would like to translate. There may be some pages that I may want
to rewrite before being translated.
Also let me know if you want to replace the text directly in my page or if
you want to e-mail the text. I may have problems with some languages replacing text
as there may be too many differences for me to understand. In that case, I would need
the text replacement be done by you.
If you decide to e-mail the text, I prefer short lines. It is easy to insert the
text in a page.
That's pretty much it. I know your work will be appreciated by your fellow
countrymen. Thank you in advance.
